	SASCE Merit Award 2006 for Co-operative Education
	In May 2006, Southern Sun was the only hospitality employer recognised for their contribution to training and education with a SASCE Merit Award 2006 for Co-operative Education by the South African Association for Co-operative Education (SASCE). Karen Borain, Southern Sun Training Manager, was awarded a SASCE Merit Award 2006 for co-operative education. This award is a first to an individual in the hospitality industry.
