The Sandton Sun is undergoing major refurbishments to it’s food and beverage outlets, which will include a new grand café, delicatessen, fine dining restaurant and display kitchen. Upper West Side Café and Bar, Ferns Restaurant and the Terrace are all closed for refurbishments. During this time, breakfast will be served in Vilamoura restaurant, situated off the hotel’s lobby. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed at the Atrium restaurant, located across the skywalk at the Intercontinental Sandton Towers, at Café Maude off Maude Street or at Vilamoura. In an effort to live up to our promise to have you leave our hotels refreshed and recharged, we are upgrading our hotel. We are refurbishing all 253 rooms and in order to minimise noise levels, construction will be kept to a minimum between 09h00 and 17h00.
It is anticipated that the refurbishment will be completed by November 2009. We look forward to showing you our larger, new look bedrooms that will feature the inclusion of luggage racks, additional lighting, wall mounted LCD TV's, refreshed bathrooms with separate showers in some rooms and a contemporary new look and feel.

The public area and restaurant will also be refurbished, making our lounge bigger. The Spur restaurant that adjoins the hotel has also undergone a facelift and features the new bar.
Construction will take place during weekdays from 09h00 – 17h00. On Saturdays between 11h00 – 15h00, noise will be minimal.
