The ultimate coffee experience has been specially developed and designed in partnership with Asmara Coffee Company to enhance your stay at select hotels, using only the finest, high quality specialty coffees, contained in locally produced earth-friendly aluminum capsules.

Kilimanjaro Single Origin (Black)

Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is the African continent’s highest mountain and features smallholder coffee farms on its volcanic slopes. Not only is it Africa’s tallest mountain, but it is the largest freestanding mountain in the world and is famous for its snow-capped peaks.

The Kilimanjaro Single Origin Tanzanian coffee capsule has a distinct origin-tasting flavour, capable of standing on its own - subtle sweetness, velvety mouthfeel, and a juicy finish. This coffee boasts notes of winey plum, warm spice, and cocoa nibs – and is reminiscent of a fine merlot. Intensity rating of 3/5.

Drakensberg (Silver)

Situated in the Great Escarpment within the border region of South Africa and Lesotho, the Drakensberg is famous for being the highest mountain range in Southern Africa. Often referred to by the Zulus as “the Barrier of Spears”, and being known as “dragon mountain”, like its namesake, this blend is just as bold – with spicy aromas, notes of fruit and cocoa in the cup, a medium acidity, and a full body. It has a notable intensity rating of 4/5.

Tafelberg Decaf (Light Green)

Referring to Table Mountain, a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town, South Africa, this single origin Colombian decaf is 99% caffeine free and 100% delicious. Expect an easy-drinking, harmonious balance in taste with a smooth finish. The Colombian origin decaf is decaffeinated in Bremen, Germany and contains notes of fruit, chocolate, and nuts. Sweet with a light acidity and medium body, Tafelberg Decaf holds an intensity rating of 3/5.

Andes (Light Pink)

Known as the longest continental mountain range in the world, the Andes Mountains hold the world’s highest volcanos and some of the most popular specialty coffee growing areas. The Andes blend is classic in every way and is inspired by the smooth tastes found in the high-grown coffees where it originates. It is a versatile blend, with notes of spicy coriander, toasted malt, and nuts. Full bodied with mild acidity, the Andes blend is intense with a 4/5 rating.

Da Mina (Light Blue)

Pedra da Mina is the highest point of Brazil’s Mantiqueira Mountain range and is found in the state of São Paulo. It has a reputation for being one of the hardest to climb because of its remote location, rocky terrain, and cold temperatures. Meaning “Water Spring Rock”, the mountain was named for the four small creeks that arise near the peak. This light roasted blend, consisting of a large portion of Brazil beans from the Minas region is sweet and offers delicate fruit flavours and bright acidity. Da Mina delivers a satisfying 2/5 intensity rating.

The Asmara capsule delivers a fantastic taste with consistent quality, and the coffee is sourced in a responsible manner which is fully traceable throughout the supply chain and manufacturing process. The freshly roasted coffee is encapsulated at the beginning of its shelf life and packaged in a protective atmosphere. Aluminum protects Asmara blends against oxygen, light and humidity which can affect taste, thereby keeping the coffee fresh, and protecting the unique aromas and flavours of the blends. Asmara capsules are highly durable, long-lasting, and infinitely recyclable. They are 100% aluminium and 100% recyclable.
