SunSquare Cape Town Gardens is a Sunpet friendly hotel so bring your pet along when you stay at our hotel and enjoy every convenience to make you and your pet feel at home. Our Sunpet friendly rooms are located on the first floor, close to reception with easy access to the foyer and gardens.

Experience the comfort of our Sunpet friendly rooms, available for an additional surcharge of R250 per room per night. All pet vaccinations must be up to date and proof thereof must be provided at the time of making the reservation.

Your pet will receive a welcome treat on arrival, pet bedding for the ultimate Sunpet sleep experience, and a range of tail-wagging meals from the Sunpet Gourmet menu. Sunpets are welcome to dine with you on our Zepi Terrace.

Our Sunpet friendly hotel team are able to arrange pet sitting services, if required, at an additional cost.

Terms & Conditions

No more than one pet is permitted per room
Only miniature, small and medium breeds are permitted to stay at hotels; no large breed dogs are permitted
There are a limited number of Sunpet rooms available and Sunpet rooms are only bookable directly with the hotel
A valid credit card will be required at check-in. An additional surcharge of R250 per room per night will be added to your room account. Additional fees will apply if your stay is longer than 7 days or if the pet causes any damage
All pet vaccinations must be up to date and proof thereof must be provided at the time of making the reservation
Pet owners must bring a leash and a pet carrier. Pets must be on a leash or in a pet carrier when outside the guest room at all times when at the hotel
Sunpet rooms will only be serviced when pets are not present
When in-house, the guest is required to display the “Pet in Room” door hanger outside the room for the duration of the stay
Sunpets are welcome to dine with their owners in designated areas at the hotel which will be confirmed at the time of making the reservation and reconfirmed at check-in
Pets are not permitted in any indoor food & beverage area, Fitness Centre or other area that may be out of bounds to pets at the hotel
Guests must notify the reception or the concierge at least 24-hours in advance when pet sitting services are required
Guests are responsible for any noise that the pet creates and must ensure that the pet does not disrupt other hotel guests. Should the hotel determine, at its sole discretion, that the pet is disruptive to other hotel guests, the guest must immediately make other arrangements to house the pet outside the hotel
If the pet is not potty trained, there will be an additional cost for any cleaning fees incurred
Any damage to the room caused by the pet is the guest’s responsibility and related costs incurred will be for account of the guest
Pets may not be left unattended in the room
Room type and location may be restricted
The hotel may exclude a pet if, at the hotel’s sole discretion, the pet is considered dangerous or likely to frighten, harm or disrupt hotel guests or employees
