None are quite so clear as the city’s famous Big Hole, a giant hole measuring more than 400 metres across and 200 metres down, made even more impressive when you consider it was all dug by diamond-hungry hands.

As you venture onwards to the West Coast the Namaqua National Park is a springtime wonderland. The normally barren landscape transforms with colourful fields of flowers all the way to the coastline.
